Removal and installation of a power shaft

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To unbend a lock plate of a nut of a nave by means of the hammer and a chisel.
  1. To unscrew a nut of a nave of the car standing on the earth. At the same time to ask the assistant to squeeze out a brake pedal that the nave was not turned. High moment of an inhaling, danger of accident!
  2. To weaken nuts of wheels.
  3. To mark the provision of a disk of a wheel concerning a nave that the balanced wheel could be established in former situation.
  4. To lift a forward part of the car.
  5. To remove a wheel.
  6. To merge gearbox oil, see the Head Vvedeniye.
  7. To unscrew a mudguard and to take out from a wheel arch.
  8. If is available, to unscrew the stabilizer on the cross lever, to remove a bolt with plugs and remote elements.
  1. To unscrew a nut and to take out tightening a bolt of a rotary fist.
  1. To squeeze out a finger of a spherical support of a rotary fist down by means of mount. To enclose fabric not to damage a cuff.
  1. Cars from 10/89 g of the issue, except the station wagon models: To straighten the forelock and to remove it. To unscrew a nut of a tip of steering draft and to vypressovat a tip from the lever of a rotary fist by means of a standard stripper.

At the same time not to damage a cuff.


  1. To establish mount between the hinge and a case of the transmission. To incline mount and it to squeeze out the hinge. Not to pull for a power shaft as on a number of models at the same time the internal hinge can be stretched.

On models with an intermediate shaft (the DOHC 1, 9 engine of l and/or with the four-wheel drive) the right power shaft should be wrung out from an intermediate support. See the Section Removal and installation of an intermediate shaft.


  1. To squeeze out a power shaft of a nave by means of a standard stripper or to beat out the polymeric hammer.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before installation to check epiploons for wear.
And — a working edge (new),
In — a working edge (worn-out),
With — a nave of a wheel or a power shaft,
D — an epiploon,
Е — lubricant.
  1. If necessary to take out a worn-out epiploon. If it is required, to drill an epiploon a drill, to screw the suitable screw the self-tapping screw and to take out flat-nose pliers the screw together with an epiploon.

At a worn-out or faulty epiploon to check rollers and holders of the bearing for existence of damages, if necessary to replace.

  1. To grease a new epiploon and to hammer evenly with a suitable pipe.
  2. To clear and to slightly grease vents and a carving of a power shaft.
  1. To insert a power shaft a hand into the hug bearing. To put on a washer, to establish a nut of a nave and, screwing up it, to pull a nave for the end of a power shaft. Not to tighten a nut finally yet.
  1. To insert a power shaft with a new lock ring - an arrow A - into shlitsevy connection of a gear wheel of the transmission. The section of a lock ring at installation has to be turned up. To hammer a power shaft with the rubber hammer until it is latched - an arrow B-. Slightly extending and pressing to check whether the shaft was latched.
  1. To screw a rotary fist and the stabilizer on the cross lever, see the Head Podvesk and system of steering.
  1. To insert an element of a tip of steering draft into a rotary fist, to tighten a nut with effort of 45 Nanometers and to zashplintovat the new forelock. If the forelock is not inserted, it is necessary to tighten, not to weaken a nut a little. To bend the ends of the forelock.
  1. To fill in gearbox oil.
  2. To screw a mudguard of a wheel arch.
  3. To screw a new nut of a nave, without tightening finally yet.
  4. To screw a wheel, considering a tag on a nave. To lower the car and to tighten wheel nuts cross-wise with effort of 100 Nanometers
  5. To tighten a nut of a nave of the car standing on the earth with effort of 240 Nanometers, the assistant at the same time has to squeeze out a brake pedal.
  1. To fix a nave nut. For this purpose to hammer a nut fillet by means of a punch into a shaft groove.
  1. To measure the angles of installation of forward wheels.
