Check of the coil of ignition

The coil of ignition is in a motive compartment before a casing of the left depreciation rack.

Check of a spark


  1. An inspection of a spark can be carried out only on cars without catalyst as the catalyst can be destroyed by the getting into system of production of the fulfilled gases and flammable fuel.

At start not to hold an ignition cable with a hand. To use for this purpose well isolated nippers or to enshrine a cable in the necessary provision on the block of cylinders by means of an adhesive tape.

  1. To disconnect an ignition cable from the ignition coil on the distributor.
  1. To keep an ignition cable well isolated nippers at arm's length of 5-10 mm from weight. As weight to use only well carrying out metal parts, such as, the block of cylinders.
  2. To ask the assistant to start the engine. Have to slip powerful blue sparks. If the spark does not slip, it is necessary to check giving of current for the coil.

Check of giving of current


  1. To disconnect the plug from the coil of ignition and at the included ignition to check tension on the positive plug. Tension has to make 12 Century. If tension is absent, it is necessary to check the main safety lock and a plait of cables.

Check of primary winding


  1. To measure by means of an ohmmeter resistance between plugs and to compare to value in the table.

Check of a secondary winding


  1. To measure by means of an ohmmeter resistance between the plus plug and the plug of high voltage, to compare the received value to value in the table.

  1. If the result of one or both checks does not correspond to the required value, the coil of ignition should be replaced.
